Seat Minimó shared mobility
SEAT set out to merge sustainability and design to redefine urban mobility. After launching a fleet of shared electric scooters, the vision expanded in 2023 with the Minimó, a compact electric car designed for carsharing in Barcelona. The challenge was clear: create a digital interface that felt personal and intuitive, even when shared by thousands of different users every day.
I led the design of the HMI interface, working within distributor constraints and the SEAT Mó Product Service System, already relied on daily by hundreds of thousands of riders. The new experience needed to integrate seamlessly into this ecosystem while overcoming the key challenges. Research, competitive benchmarking, and journey mapping informed our approach, giving us the clarity to launch and refine multiple proposals.
Drawing inspiration from the Minimó’s exterior design language, we developed and tested interface concepts aligned with SEAT’s forward-thinking vision. The proposals were validated and approved by SEAT’s presidency, demonstrating how digital design can make shared mobility feel both sustainable and personal.
